Charlotte Gift Obituary
Published by Kuzo Funeral Home, Inc. on Jun. 4, 2006.

Charlotte Louise Gift, 70, of Landenberg, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at her home. She was the widow of Charles A. Gift who died in 1998 and with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Ada Eller Peirson. Mom was a multifaceted person. So many angles and cuts went into her life that ultimately became the gem that it is. Above all else was how she dearly loved our father and being a wife, a companion to him even after his own life ended. Theirs was truly a love story. She made "Mom" look easy although a lot of work went into it. Along with taking care of us, she cooked, canned, washed, cleaned, made beautiful quilts and flannel shirts-you name it, she did it. Not once complaining, she made it appear so easy. I guess love has that effect. Mom had her faith. A long time member of Auburn Regular Baptist Church, she truly believed and stood on her faith and rejoiced in the meaning it brought to her life. It's this faith that sustained her up to the end. She truly loved and cared for all her family and friends equally-she was a quiet person who could make herself known when she needed to which had an enduring affect on all who knew her. Mom is an inspiration and an aspiration that will be missed. The song of life must go on without her voice. But Mom's was a beautiful song and one to be remembered Survivors include: Three sons: Daniel E. Gift of Landenberg Christopher R. Gift of New London Jamie M.
